How It Works
No handling systems. No tape measures. Just a guided scan with your phone.
1. Scan
Walk a half circle around the animal with your phone. Do it right in the field. No need to move the animal anywhere.
2. Process
The scan is turned into a 3D model and analyzed to estimate weight to within ±3% from measured body geometry.
3. Results
The weight goes straight into your herd records. Track each animal over time to catch health problems, pick breeding stock, and time your sales.

What You Can Do With It
From one animal to an entire feedlot.
Weigh one animal when you need to. Leave the rest of the herd alone.
Spot a weak animal? Check its weight every week without moving it to a scale. See if it's recovering and decide when to treat.
Know when your calves hit selling weight (200 kg). Check them in the pasture and sell at the right moment.
Compare calf weights at the same age, say 3 months. Keep the best ones for breeding.
Weigh cull cows and bulls before you sell. Decide on real weight, not a guess.
“Traditional weighing devices are precise but costly, and they require moving cattle into a handling system. This process is often impractical: it takes time, requires significant labor, and can be stressful for the animals. Having the ability to weigh individual animals only when needed—without disturbing the rest of the herd—would provide great benefits.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about CattleWeight AI
When will CattleWeight AI be available?
Beta rollout to partners starts in October 2026. Early access members and partners get the first invitations. Join the waitlist and we'll let you know.
How accurate is CattleWeight AI?
±3% on average, which is comparable to a professional livestock scale in the field. Scan quality, the animal, and conditions all affect the result.
What devices are compatible?
The current beta requires a compatible iPhone Pro running iOS 17 or later. No extra sensor or accessory is needed. Tell us your exact model when you join, and we’ll confirm compatibility before inviting you. Android support is in development.
Does it work offline?
An internet connection and cloud upload are required to process a scan and receive a weight estimate. Field-capture behavior during a temporary connection loss may vary by beta build.
How long does a scan take?
Capture time varies with the animal and conditions. The app guides you around the animal, then uploads and processes the scan before returning an estimate.
Will drone scanning be available?
Yes. We're building drone scanning so you can weigh a whole herd from the air. It comes after the initial launch. We're looking for drone partners to speed it up. Interested? Pick 'Partnership Opportunities' when you join the waitlist.
What breeds does it work with?
All cattle breeds: beef, dairy, and calves. The AI has been trained on thousands of scans across breeds and body conditions.
Can I export my data?
CSV export for herd records and weight history is planned for the beta. We will confirm its availability with each beta invitation.
Is my data private?
Scans are uploaded for cloud processing, so they do not remain only on the device. We do not sell customer data. The beta privacy terms will describe service providers, storage, retention, and deletion controls before enrollment.
What if I need help?
Every plan includes email support. Professional and Enterprise plans get priority support. Enterprise customers also get 24/7 phone support and a dedicated account manager.
