Waitlist and partnership enquiries

If you submit the early-access form, we collect the fields you provide: name, email, company or operation name, role, area of interest, operation scale, and optional notes. If you choose one or more ways to be involved sooner, we also collect your selected involvement paths and timing, country and region, access to a compatible iPhone and cattle, access to a live-animal scale, and the optional livestock profile you provide. We use these details to respond, identify a suitable next step, and plan the rollout and research cohorts. Submitting the form does not enroll you in an early release or authorize collection or research use of cattle scan data; we provide those terms and choices separately before any such work begins.

Choosing general early access asks us to contact you about one suitable invitation; it does not subscribe you to recurring progress messages. You can separately choose to receive occasional product-progress and product-release emails. That checkbox is optional and is not selected in advance. You can unsubscribe from those updates at any time. We retain the recorded form submission so we can understand the request, preserve its consent context, and handle follow-up or suppression requests.

The website also forwards limited technical information such as the submitting site, IP address, and user agent to help prevent abuse and deliver the enquiry. The backend stores the lead and submission and may email the project team so they can respond.

Photo-based BCS tool

The tool sends the photos you choose, the selected animal type, and an analysis prompt to Google's Gemini API. The website application does not intentionally write those photos to its own database or object storage. The request is processed in memory, but hosting and Google systems may process technical or service data under their own terms. Do not upload people, readable animal tags, documents, location clues, or other identifying material.

To control cost and abuse, the tool stores short-lived counters in Upstash Redis. The per-network counter uses a keyed hash rather than the raw address; hosting infrastructure can still receive the IP address as part of a normal web request. The tool also keeps daily and monthly global counters.

Analytics and cookies

The current public-site build does not load Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, advertising pixels, or another optional analytics service. See the Cookie Notice for more detail. Optional analytics must not be added without an appropriate consent mechanism and an updated notice.

Sharing, security, and retention

Data is shared with services needed to host the site, receive and store enquiries, prevent abuse, send notifications, or analyze photos. The application code does not retain BCS photos after the request finishes; infrastructure and Google may process service data under their applicable terms and configured retention. No internet service can eliminate every third-party or security risk.
